Dead by Deadlight – a new, good game to play

This summer Dead by Deadlight has been launched, a game developed by Digital Behavior and published by Starbreeze Studios.

This game is a survival multiplayer horror game type in which the player plays the role of a murderer and 4 other players play the role of survivors and try to escape from the killer’s territory to avoid being caught and tortured.

The survivors gameplay is a third-person type game and have the advantage of having an alarm system when the killer is near them, but they have the disadvantage that their speed of travel is much smaller compared to the killer. The objective of the survivors is the repair 5 generators to open the doors that will release them. They can play in team, as the game allows collaboration up to 3 players for repairing a generator, while the fourth lures the killer in a different direction, or he can play on his own, risking everyone to be caught, be he can repair more generators in a relatively short time. A disadvantage of this class is that during the game there is no method of communication with teammates, but if we think this would disadvantage the killer, tilting the balance in favor of survivors.

The killer gameplay is a first person game. For now there are three characters in the game with the killer role, each with a special skill that helps prevent survivors to escape. When the killer shot down one of the survivors, he must carry him and hang him on one of the hooks. The survivor is not killed instantly, and he even can be saved by one from the team, but next time he will be hanging on a hook, he will die.

When the map has only one survivor, he will get a much easier way of escape. Somewhere on the map opens a hatch that will release him, so he will not have to try to repair by himself all generators and also take care to not be caught by the killer.

Both the character of the killer and the survivor is customizable. When you advance in level you can develop your character depending on your playing style and its own way of approach.

The atmosphere of the game transcends into a horror movie where the struggle for survival is the most important, where when you get lost, you lose, thus managing to win is the one who manages to stay calm and develop a play good enough to secure victory.

The setup for this game is very accessible. The developers recommend an operating system with these characteristics: 64-bit (Win 7, 8 or 8.1), Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB RAM and a graphics card GeForce 760 or AMD HD 8800.

As you can see from my small review this game seems to be pretty interesting to play and I almost 100 per cent sure that this game will be a hit.
